Since its first edition in 2009, the number of PME Excellence companies has grown substantially. Despite a slight inflection in this steady growth curve in 2016, the number of companies distinguished has risen from 376 in 2009 to 4 136 in 2023, reflecting a significant evolution, despite the high level and strictness of the selection criteria and the very challenging economic climate.
This year, a total of 4 136 companies, representing the various sectors of activity, have been awarded the PME Excellence 2023 status. Together, these companies are responsible for 132,973 jobs in Portugal and ebankIT was one of them.
PME Excellence status is awarded by IAPMEI and Turismo de Portugal (in the case of tourism companies) in partnership with a number of partner banks and the Banco Português de Fomento Group.
