ebankIT named a member of the Cotec Network

ebankIT becomes member of Cotec´s SME Innovation Network

ebankIT was admitted to Cotec´s SME Innovation Network in a meeting held last month.

This deliberation takes place after the company had successfully completed the exercise of Innovation Scoring®.

ebankIT’s CEO says  that “this acknowledgement represents an important milestone in the life of the company, strengthening our commitment towards innovation as one of the pillars of our future development, aiming to establish the brand in new markets throughout the world.  ebankIT has customers in more than 20 countries and wants to establish itself as a world player in the Digital Banking Platform market. Being part of Cotec represents great alignment in the fundamentals of our business, helping us to develop the company into its promising future.”

Who is Cotec?

COTEC Portugal – Associação Empresarial para a Inovação – was established in April 2003, on the initiative of the then President of Portugal, Jorge Sampaio, with the support of the Prime Minister. It was joined by several Portuguese companies, which in 2002 accounted for around 18% of the country’s GDP. Since it was established, the position of President of the General Assembly has been held by the President of the Republic, who is now the association’s Honorary President. COTEC currently has 343 members.

With the mission of «promoting the competitiveness of companies established in Portugal, through the development and the diffusion of a culture and a practice of innovation as well as of knowledge, especially that generated in our country», COTEC Portugal is a not for profit business association that counts on the support of its associated companies and all agents of the National Innovation System (NIS) to accomplish its goals through the implementation of initiatives in a variety of areas.
